Mike Dowd

Bio:

Mr. Dowd joined McCann Realty Partners in October 2017. His experience with McCann encompasses leading asset management and property operations throughout the McCann portfolio, risk management, acquisitions, and development. In his current role as Chief Operating Officer, Mike’s focus is McCann’s day-to-day operations via acquisitions, asset management, management of joint venture and lender relationships, and as an advisor to the Board of Directors of Pegasus Residential, a wholly owned subsidiary of McCann Realty Partners. Mr. Dowd has played an active role in McCann’s development, acquisition, operation, and disposition of over 10,000 apartment homes in transactions valued at more than $2.0 billion. 

Mr. Dowd came to McCann from Capital Square Management, where he was responsible for a portfolio of multifamily, manufactured housing and office assets in the Mid-Atlantic, Mid-West and Southeast regions. Mr. Dowd also has experience with Harbor Group International, a global real estate investment firm with over $20 billion in assets under management. 

Mr. Dowd has a BA in Economics & Commerce from Hampden-Sydney College and an MBA from the College of William & Mary. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of RampsRVA and as an advisor to the Board of Directors of Pegasus Residential.
