Jesse is an Associate Principal at SGS who has an extensive background in various project types including historic renovation, institutional, single, and multi-family residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Award-winning work in both land planning and urban renewal reflects his understanding of community and the design of sustainable neighborhoods. His experience in design, project, and firm management reflects his flexibility in roles and knowledge of the craft of architecture. He currently oversees project teams, ensuring positive outcomes for clients and smooth progress from design to construction. At the firm level, Jesse focuses on business development and managing the integrations between project genesis, planning, and architecture. Jesse has been an integral part of the adaptive reuse of the bow truss rehabilitations at Taylor Place, and successfully navigated the application for National Park Service Historic Tax Credits. He has also completed large mixed-use projects throughout the southeast, including the AIA Design Award winning Main and Clay in Louisville, KY, and the largest containerized multifamily project in the US, 83 Freight. Custom residential projects, such as the Wall Street Journal-featured Triangle Homes in Columbus, Ohio, are testaments to his creative and innovative solutions to challenges. Jesse was also instrumental in securing and implementing one of the first 2030 Challenge education programs in the United States and has managed 4 successful LEED New Construction projects.
