Scott Cooper

Bio:

Scott Cooper is Vice President for Michaels Development and works
within the Western United States portfolio. Scott identifies multifamily
acquisition opportunities and works on ongoing development projects in
California.
Since joining The Michaels Organization in 2019, Mr. Cooper has been
responsible for a variety of duties in relation to the development process.
He prepares business plans and financing packages, manages project
budgets, negotiates contracts, supervises the A&E team from conceptual
design through construction drawings, and helps oversee RFQ and RFP
submissions.
Prior to taking his role at Michaels, Mr. Cooper was Vice President of
Development & Acquisitions at Cal Coast Companies, LLC. During
his eight-year tenure, Mr. Cooper identified urban infill acquisition
opportunities, secured debt and equity for projects, conducted due
diligence reviews, and oversaw a variety of other tasks as needed.
Mr. Cooper received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
and a master’s degree in real estate development from the University of
Southern California, Los Angeles. He also has his California Real Estate
License and is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
