Laurie Lyons is a nationally recognized executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience across the multifamily housing industry. Her expertise spans market-rate and luxury apartment communities, student housing, active adult communities, affordable housing, and build-to-rent (BTR) developments —giving her a breadth of perspective.
A pioneering figure in multifamily housing, Ms. Lyons made history as the first female CEO named to the National Multifamily Housing Council's (NMHC) annual Top 50 Managers ranking. She co-founded BH Management, growing the company from a 2,000-unit operation to one of the nation's premier management platforms — ultimately reaching more than 50,000 units across 16 states and 45 markets. Her entrepreneurial record, built over more than three decades of executive leadership, reflects a rare combination of strategic vision, operational discipline, and the ability to scale high-performance teams and systems at a national level.
Throughout her career, Ms. Lyons has held senior executive roles at leading firms including Pegasus Residential, The Bainbridge Companies, US Residential Group, and Cardinal Group — driving consistent business development results, expanding institutional client networks, and leading market entry strategies across the country. Most recently, Laurie Co-Founded Elliron Residential, a third-party management company with a culture grounded in integrity and proactive leadership dedicated to delivering exceptional results.
Ms. Lyons is a committed industry advocate and thought leader. She has served on boards and committees for the NMHC and the National Apartment Association (NAA) and is a long-term contributor to the NMHC Political Action Committee. She is a sought-after speaker and panel moderator at major industry conferences, including NMHC, MFE, NAA, and AAMD events, where she regularly addresses topics spanning multifamily strategy, business development, women in leadership and student housing innovation.
Laurie Lyons holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse
