Diane Batayeh

Bio:

Diane leads Village Green Holding, a vertically integrated third-party apartment and commercial property management company that also includes GREENWORKS Studio, a digital marketing and interior design firm specializing in the multifamily sector. Village Green employs approximately 1,500 people and operates a broad range of asset classes within a nationwide portfolio comprised of approximately 55,000 apartments and 2 million square feet of commercial space valued at over $15 billion.
An example of Village Green’s Promotion from Within philosophy, Diane joined the company in 1980 as a part-time leasing consultant while attending college. Throughout her tenure, she gained experience in every aspect of the real estate industry, including apartment development and construction, acquisitions and dispositions, property management, and equity and debt financing. Diane served in various C-Suite leadership roles including Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer, before ultimately ascending to Chief Executive Officer in 2016.
Diane is active in various industry organizations, including serving as an Executive Committee Board Member for the National Multifamily Housing Council. She has contributed numerous articles and been a panelist for many apartment industry organizations and publications. Her career has also been accentuated with numerous awards and recognition, including being honored in 2020 as Executive of the Year by Multi-Housing News.
