Chris Pilato

Bio:

J. Chris Pilato III serves as the Chief Development and Construction Officer at CAPREIT, where he combines a multifaceted educational background with more than 20 years of experience in construction and real estate development.

Throughout his career, Mr. Pilato has successfully led more than $250 million in construction and development projects, encompassing over 120 commercial and residential projects across 23 states. His extensive experience reflects a proven ability to manage complex developments while navigating diverse regulatory environments throughout the country.

As the leader of CAPREIT's Development and Construction Division, Mr. Pilato oversees the company's national construction and development initiatives, including contract administration, capital planning, budgeting, and project execution. He is responsible for aligning development and construction activities with CAPREIT's long-term strategic objectives while maintaining a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and financial stewardship.

Mr. Pilato is recognized for his collaborative leadership style, bringing together cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality projects. His combination of legal, financial, and construction expertise enables him to successfully manage complex projects from concept through completion while driving operational excellence across the organization.

Mr. Pilato earned a Juris Doctor from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, a Master of Business Administration from Villanova University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, cum laude, from Villanova University. He is admitted to the New York State Bar.
